Bertram “Bert” G. Sadock, 94, of Elkhart Lake, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Bert was born on May 16, 1921 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Keevan and Anne (Delevitt) Sadock.

He graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Following his education Bert served in the United States Army during World War II, fighting for our country in “The Battle of the Bulge”.

When Bert returned from the war, he began working for the family business, Keevan Sadock, Inc.

In 2000, he married Thelma “Teddie” (Ayres) Cancellier. The couple lived in Chicago for 5 years before moving to Elkhart Lake in 2005.

Bert loved playing the piano, playing with many dogs he owned throughout the years, racing cars, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying his life with Teddie.

Survivors include his loving wife: Teddie; one son: Andrew Richard Sadock; one stepson: Michael (Anna) Cancellier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Johnathan Robert Sadock.

A memorial service to celebrate Bert’s life will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake. Barbara Hill will be officiating the service.

A time of gathering will take place on Tuesday at the Osthoff Resort, from 10:30 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bert’s name.

Bert’s family would like to thank Dr. Staehling and Dr. Coulis for the compassion they have shown over the years. They would also like to thank Mary Pitsch and the caregivers from Embrace Care Management and Managed Home Care. With their guidance, support and care, Bert was able to stay in the comfort of his home with his family, and his dog, Nikki, at his side.
