The meet was the Eastern Wisconsin Conference opener for the Panthers who upped their overall dual record to 3-0.

Senior Anna Theisen won two events to lead the Panthers. Theisen captured first in the 200- yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 8.14 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:39.54. She also anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay.

Lauren Boos, a junior at ELG, won the 100 freestyle in 58.18 seconds.

“A nice meet for the team. We had the best performances of the year for some of our girls,” said Panther head coach Clare Sedlacek.

“We had quality swims by all the girls at the front half of the meet. Another great effort by Savannah Arneson in diving again with her best effort of the season [to take first],” said Sedlacek.

“Katy Coley swam a great [100 freestyle] race against some really good competition, taking a very close second to Lauren Boos and holding off Mary Tanouye [Kiel] in the closest race of the night.

“A great effort by our 100 breaststrokers, going 1-2-3. Caitlyn Klemme had her best swim of the season. Nice swims by all three girls,” said the coach.
