Panthers drop second ECC match

BERLIN – Berlin handed the Plymouth Panthers their second straight East Central Conference girls volleyball loss, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21, here Thursday night.

PHS dropped to 3-2 in ECC dual meets. The Panthers have lost three straight matches overall.

“Another tough loss for us. We have had quite the emotional week with three very tough losses to swallow,” said Panther head coach Peggy Huhn.

“It’s time for us to buckle down, get back to practice and clean up our errors. This is the gut check for the rest of our season.”

Sophie Albert led PHS in kills with 12. Emily Majerus and Albert were the top servers with 9-for-9 and 8-for-8, respectively.

Majerus paced the Panthers in digs with eight and Albert contributed six. The assist leader was Jessica Schumacher with 15. Albert led in serve reception at 13- for-13.
