Elda N. Rowe, 92, formerly of Plymouth, passed away early Thursday morning, Sept. 10 at Keystone Assisted Living in St. Paul, Minn., where she had been a resident for the last three years.

Elda was born on Oct. 29, l922 in St. Cloud, a daughter of the late August and Lizzie (Rosenthal) Pfeifer.

She attended Elder Grove Grade School and graduated from Waldo High School in 1941.

Elda served in the U.S. Women’s Air Force from 1944-1946.

She was employed at the Cleveland Container Co. in Plymouth.

Elda married William A. Rowe on May 21, l955 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in the town of Lima.

The couple resided in Illinois, Minnesota and Plymouth.

William preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2012.

Elda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and also belonged to the National Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association.

Survivors include: one son: Keith Rowe of Manitowoc; three daughters: Christine (Donald) Reetz of Sheboygan, Judy (Tom) Krier of Chugiak, Alaska, Nancy Rowe of St. Paul, MN; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Virginia Spriet of St. Charles, Illinois.

She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Walter, Clarence, Oscar, Ervin, Herbert; five sisters: Esther, Hilda, Laura, Dorothy and Mildred.

Graveside Services were held on Monday afternoon, Sept. 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of your choice in the memory of Elda Rowe.
