BETTE LEHMANN

Bette Lehmann, 86, of Plymouth, WI passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth where she had been a resident for the past 12 years.

She was born on December 27, 1928 in Bear Valley, WI, daughter of the late Henry and Regina (Schmitz) Mueller. She graduated grade school from St. Michael’s in Dotyville and graduated from St. Mary Springs High School in Fond du Lac, WI in 1947.

On April 15th, 1948 she married Harold Lehmann at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marytown.

Her husband preceded her in death on October 14, 2009.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Plymouth Furniture Store, Ley’s Department Store and Borden’s until her retirement.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was a member of their Christian Women’s Society. Bette enjoyed doing crafts, reading, golfing and wintering in Florida.

Survived by her daughter: Linda Escher of New Holstein; son: Allen Lehmann of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren: Brad (Dana) Escher of Chilton, Amy (Chuck) Giesen of Kimberly, Chris (fiance Deb Paine) Escher of Las Vegas, Sarah (Troy) Burmeister of Galesville, Josh (Sara) Escher of Menasha, Eric (Whitney) Escher of Plover, Ryan Lehmann of Sheboygan, Heather Lehmann of Sheboygan; six great grandchildren: Ethan and Xander Burmeister, Shelby Reimer and Jackson Lehmann; three sisters: Marion Mauer of New Holstein, Dolores Cain of Elkhart Lake, Rita Lachmund of Marco Island, FL; one brother: Raymond (Vi) Mueller of Priest, ID; one sister-in-law: Betty Mueller of Plymouth.

She is also survived by nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Harold; one brother: Ambrose (Marilyn) Mueller; sister: Imelda (Jack) Barry; six brothers-in-law: Robert Mauer, John Cain, Phil Slezak, Carl Lachmund, Walter (Marion) Lehmann and Earl (Rachel) Lehmann; one sister-in-law Marie (Fred) Schroeder; and one niece: Carol Mueller.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday afternoon, October 1, 2015 at 12:30 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in her name.
