Legislators set listening sessions

State Sen. Devin LeMahieu of Oostburg, state Rep. Terry Katsma of Oostburg) and state Rep. Tyler Vorpagel of Plymouth have each scheduled fall listening sessions.

The area Republican legislators will be in Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, and Elkhart Lake for constituent feedback on Friday, Oct. 16.

Listening sessions provide an opportunity for legislators to hear directly from constituents on how to improve state government.

A listening session with Sen. LeMahieu, Rep. Katsma and Rep. Vorpagel will be held in the large meeting room at the Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library from 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.

The Sheboygan Falls Memorial Library is located at 330 Buffalo St.

Another listening session on Oct. 16 will take place in the Rocca Meeting Room at Mead Public Library in Sheboygan from 10:45-11:45 a.m.

Mead Public Library is located at 710 North Eighth St. in Sheboygan.

The third and final listening session of the day on Oct. 16 will be held at the Grashorn Memorial Civic Center in Elkhart Lake from 12:45-1:45 p.m.

The Grashorn Memorial Civic Center is located at 84 North Lake St. in Elkhart Lake.

Devin LeMahieu represents the 9th Senate District, which includes parts of Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Calumet Counties.

Terry Katsma represents the 26th Assembly District, which includes most of the city of Sheboygan, and all of Sheboygan Falls, Random Lake, Cedar Grove and Oostburg.

Tyler Vorpagel represents the 27th Assembly District, which includes the northern portion of the city of Sheboygan, as well as all of Plymouth, Elkhart Lake, Kiel, Cleveland and Howards Grove.
