Otte captures regional victory, moves on to state

With the victory, Otte advances to run in the WIAA Division 2 State Championship Meet at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday, Oct. 31.

This is the second straight year Otte has advanced to state. He finished 15th last year.

Otte won the Division 2 boys race with a time of 16:44, which was 15 seconds better than second place runner, Ian Ison of Cedar Grove/Belgium.

“We’re pretty excited about him,” said Falcons’ head coach Tiffany Otte. “It will be fun to watch.”

Falls finished seventh overall with Cedar Grove/Belgium winning the boys division title.

Falls sophomore David Gremminger finished 22nd and freshman Parker Stangel was 26th.

Plymouth won the girls division crown, while Sheboygan Falls finished 13th.

Sophia Bolich of Plymouth won the girls race with a time 20:13.03 over second place Elise large of Random Lake/Ozaukee.

Falls freshman Brianna Kleckner finished 32nd and junior Lauren Louko was 68th.
