Art contest for Mill Pond set

The Plymouth Mill Pond Lake Association is sponsoring an art contest to raise funds for improving the Plymouth Mill Pond.

The contest is to paint a bobber-shaped wooden plaque, 14-inches in diameter. The plaque will be provided by the association and only those plaques will be accepted in the contest.

The association is looking for a nature or outdoor scene on the front of the plaque, in any media. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three places in the categories of students (grades 1-12) and adults.

The finished plaques will become the property of the Plymouth Mill Pond Association to be auctioned off or sold in a silent auction at a future date.

Jerry Huss residence, 626 Alfred St..The contest will run until March 20, 2016, and the finished plaques will be on display in downtown stores until the auction.
