CHARLOTTE LOUISE HALVERSON

Charlotte Louise Halverson, 96, of Peoria, AZ (formerly of Crystal Lake) passed away early Saturday morning (October 31, 2015) at Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary.

She was born on July 12, 1919 in Kohler, daughter of the late Alfred J. and Lucille (Gottschalk) Miller.

Charlotte attended grade school in Kohler and graduated from Kohler High School.

She worked for several years as an accountant at Meyer Motors in Plymouth.

On April 7, 1945 she married David J. Halverson at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.

Following their marriage, the couple resided at Crystal Lake for many years before moving to Sun City, AZ. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1987.

Charlotte was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Sun City Elks, and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for many years in Arizona.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.

She could always be found helping other people!

Charlotte is survived by her brother: Alfred C. (Vivian) Miller of Plymouth.

She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: David; two sisters: Marilyn (Walter) Clemens and Lois (John) Hodge; and two brothers: Robert (Doris) Miller and Jack (Eunice) Miller.

Following Charlotte’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be in Cave Creek Veterans Cemetery in Sun City, AZ.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
