CAROLINE R. DREWRY

Caroline R. Drewry, 86, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully early Saturday Morning (Nov. 21, 2015) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility following a recent battle with pneumonia.

She was born on July 23, 1929 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late Art and Esther (Siewert) Riese.

Caroline graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1947. Prior to graduation, she began working at Insurance Headquarters in Sheboygan. Later she was employed for the Raatz Insurance Agency followed by Gottsacher Insurance Agency and ended her career working for the Heritage Insurance Company (Now known as Acuity) retiring in 1995.

On June 28, 1952 she married Clarence “Bing” Drewry in Sheboygan, WI. The couple resided in Sheboygan for 10 years before moving to the family homestead on Winooski Road.

She graciously continued a longstanding Drewry Christmas Eve oyster stew tradition.

Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease for more than 30 years, during that time she maintained a good sense of humor and always had a twinkle in her eye and never complained on having such a debilitating disease.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years: Clarence “Bing” at the family home; One brother: Elwood (Janet) Riese of Howards Grove; One brother-in-law: David (Ruth) Drewry of Plymouth; Five sisters-in-law: Alice (Ken) Benson of Boise, ID, Caroline (Wilbert) Robertson of Oklahoma City, OK, Virginia (Dan) Bricco of Miles City, Montana, Ellen Drewry of Plymouth and Margaret Drewry of Oconto, WI.

She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Art and Esther Riese; and two sisters: Eunice and Arlene.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon, Nov. 27, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Winooski Cemetery.

Friends and relatives can call at the church on Friday, Nov. 27, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial funds are being established in the Caroline’s name for the Parkinson Foundation, 20 S.E. 1st St, Suite 800, Miami, Fla, 33131 and for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 509 Madison Ave, Cascade, WI. 53011.
