GRACE L. PREDER

Grace L. Preder, 87, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2015, following a massive heart attack.

She was born in Queensland, Australia on September 25, 1928, daughter of the late Alexander and Lorna (Barron) Leslie.

Grace met Warren D. Preder while he was stationed in Australia during World War II and the couple married on November 6, 1945 in Rockhampton, Queensland. In June 1946, along with many other war brides, Grace traveled by ship to join her husband in the United States. She became a United States citizen in 1951. Warren preceded her in death on October 14, 2002.

She was a homemaker, wife and mother to their three children. After her children graduated from High School, Grace held various jobs, including the position of assistant to the Director of Plymouth Senior Center for many years. While raising her family she enjoyed sewing, needlework, bingo and playing cards with family and friends.

Grace was a longtime member of Salem Plankroad Church. Her most important gifts in her life were her family.

She is survived by three children: Lorna (Dennis) Bogenschneider, Gerry (Debbie) Preder, and Reta (Rich) Masarik; six grandchildren: Tina (Aaron) Croft, Kay (Stoney) Sterns, Amanda (Matt) Cain, Ellison (Travis) Capelle, Trina (Nic) Meinnert, and Ryan Masarik; eleven great-grandchildren: Jacob, Devin, Grace, Jordyn, Bella, Julia, Lydia, Hope, Lane, Carly and Chloe; and one great-great-granddaughter: Avery.

She is also survived by her special friend: Harlan Harris who has been a loving companion and support for Grace; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday Dec. 1, 2015, at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Following the service cremation will take place, and inurnment will be in the Salem Plankroad U.C.C. Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday Dec. 1, at the Suchon Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Grace’s name for the Plymouth Generations, 1500 Douglas Drive, Plymouth, WI 53073.
