Horizon bids farewell to Mrs. Nelson

Horizon Elementary School bid farewell Nov. 20 to school secretary Char Nelson, who has worked for the district for 25 years. All throughout the day, students delivered chocolate kisses and hugs along with cards, and the 5K class sang a song to her. At the end of the day, students and staff lined the hallway to “clap” for her. “Nobody had more pride and attention to detail in their work than Char,” said Horizon Principal Todd Hunt. “She is caring and will be missed. However, we are all excited for her as she will be spending a lot of time with her granddaughter.” Photo by Joanna Williams Horizon Elementary School bid farewell Nov. 20 to school secretary Char Nelson, who has worked for the district for 25 years.
