GLENN W. WILLIAMSON

Glenn W. Williamson, 90, of Plymouth passed away on Sunday afternoon (December 13, 2015) at Waterford of Plymouth where he had been a resident for the past two years.

Glenn was born April 20, 1925, in Plymouth WI, son of the late Roy H. and Leila (Dietsch) Williamson. He graduated with the class of Plymouth High School in 1943.

He served his country in the United States Army in World War II from 1943 to 1946 in the European theater, and was involved in the invasion of Normandy and Battle of the Bulge.

On May 13, 1950 he married the former Doris “Schatze” Speckmann in Sheboygan, WI. The couple resided in Plymouth following their marriage. Doris preceded him in death on March 4, 1984.

Glenn was employed at the Plymouth Utilities as an Electrical Lineman, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. He also served in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1948 to 1952, the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years, a lifelong member of the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612, a member of the Sheboygan County Deputy Association, and an emergency medical technician. He loved hunting, fishing and the Wisconsin life and land. WE CAN ONLY DO THE BEST WE CAN

Survivors include two daughters: Vickie (Glenn) Cudworth of Howards Grove and Wendie (Raymond) Cudworth of Elkhart Lake, WI; four grandchildren: Sarah (Ed) Brown of South Milwaukee, Brian Cudworth of Sheboygan, Karen (James) Vasconi of Howards Grove and Brenda Cudworth of Sheboygan Falls; great grandchildren: Amanda and Jacob Vasconi and Brielle Brown; also four special nieces and nephews: Mary, Cindy, Carol and Mark.

He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, two brothers, two nephews, two sistersin law and three brothers-in-law and a special friend Angeline Jens.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday evening (December 16) at 6:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral in Plymouth. Rev. John Schultz, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday (December 16) until time of services. Military Rites will be held following the service at Suchon Funeral Home by the Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Glenn’s name.
