Shop with a Cop

There are a lot of really good causes to donate to and it sometimes is hard to decide where you should donate to. Our program started in 1998. There are many great selling points for the Shop with a Cop program but the most important facts are that 100 percent of the money goes back to supporting the children of Sheboygan County.

These children might not have a Christmas if it were not for this program. That along with the fact that there are no administrative or hidden costs. No one gets paid to participate in the program, so there are no local tax dollars spent on the program either.

This year we are taking approximately 63 children, all of whom are referred to us by local organizations (Human Services, Dept. of Child Welfare, Lutheran Social Services, etc.), and we spend approximately $100 per child. Many times these children spend the money not only on items for themselves, but also for a gift for a parent or sibling.
