Big Cheese Drop highlight of free New Year’s Eve party

The Plymouth Arts Center will present its ninth Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration, Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 8:30pm to 12:30am.

This free, family event will feature live musical entertainment by The Jamies & Friends, with guests, Mojo Capriccio, Elizabeth Cramer, Justin Gigstad, and Carter Shilts" and the nationally acclaimed “Big Cheese Drop” at 10pm.

The Big Cheese will be dropped at 10pm instead of midnight and the Sartori Company will donate free cheese wedges to the first 250 families in attendance.

Prior to the event, build your S’more or pudgie pie at the bonfire in the PAC plaza from 9-10 pm and join in the excitement of the Big Cheese Drop at 10pm. Music continues in the building until 12:30am with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

Enjoy a cheese hors d’oeuvres table courtesy of the Sartori Company. In the spirit of Arts Center gatherings, visitors may bring an appetizer or dessert to share. A cash bar will be available. New Year’s Eve in the Cheese Capital of the World is generously sponsored by The Sartori Company of Plymouth, WI.

The event has consistently made the national and regional news, and has been on the list of the top 10 things to do on New Year's Eve. Bring your noisemakers, hats and good cheer.

The Jamies are an acoustic duo made up of James Shafstall and Jamie

Odekirk, and are based out of Plymouth, WI. For several years, James and Jamie attended many of the same local open mics, and in the spring of 2014 they started playing gigs together at several local establishments.

The Jamies are known for playing fun covers of recognizable songs from a WIDE range artists. Most nights you'll hear them play music from Bruce Springsteen, to Hank Williams, to the Beastie Boys, the Beatles, and everything in-between. They pride themselves on playing something for everyone, and encourage singing along at all times. The main objective of any Jamies gig is to have fun!
