Second half the key as Resorters tumble

MOUNT CALVARY – The St. Lawrence Seminary Hilltoppers outscored Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 34-26 in the second half to earn a 57-49 boys basketball win here Thursday night.

The nonconference loss dropped the Resorters’ record to 0-5. The Hilltoppers raised their mark to 3-2.

Senior forward Owen Kalbacken tallied 19 points to lead the Resorters’ attack. Max Kossman added 10. Kalbacken also ripped down a career-high 21 rebounds to lead his team.

J.P. Ajide popped in 23 points to ignite St. Lawrence’s offense. Ajide also grabbed a team-best 13 boards.

Elkhart was only 2-for-9 at the foul line, compared with 7-for-12 for the Hilltoppers.
