OTTO WILLIAM HARTWIG

Otto William Hartwig, 90, of Plymouth, WI, passed away Saturday afternoon (December 26, 2015) at Rocky Knoll.

Otto was born on July 13, 1925 in Bear Creek, WI, son of the late Paul and Augusta (Leuck) Hartwig.

He attended Bear Creek grade school.

He later served our nation in the United States Army from 1954-1956.

Otto worked for Madison Silo Company and later worked at Borden’s until his retirement in 1990.

In 1960, he married Marian Boeldt at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Kiel.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, where he was an avid member of the Bible Study Group.

Otto enjoyed wood working, tinkering around the house, and spending time with his loving family (especially watching his grandchildren).

Survivors include his loving wife: Marian of Plymouth; four daughters: Bonnie (Dan) Agacki of Plymouth, Nancy (James) Limberg of Kohler, Susan (Gary) Littlefield of Plymouth, and Kelly (William) Anton of Richfield, WI; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Jarred) Velier, Daniel Agacki (Special friend: Amber), Joseph (Cindy) Limberg, Bradley Limberg, Angela (Drake) Davis, Sean Littlefield, Cassandra Littlefield, Nicholas Anton, Ruben Anton, Noah Anton, and Robert Anton; four great-grandchildren: Logan, Hannah, Corey, and Jacob; three sisters-in-law: Bernette Hartwig of Clintonville, Jane (Gary) Hanke of Plymouth, and Betty Groth of Oshkosh; two brothers-in-law: Vernon (Jane) Boeldt of New Holstein and Norman (Judy) Boeldt of Howards Grove.

Otto is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Kevin Hartwig; two sisters: Della Hartwig and Alma (Lester) Drahem; two brothers: Reinhold and Louis Hartwig. He was also preceded in death by many brothers and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday (December 30) at 2:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Rev. Nathan Meador, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Entombment will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of Sheboygan.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday (Dec. 30) from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Otto’s name.
