Camp schedules family winter events

Camp Y-Koda in Sheboygan Falls has announced a series of events in February designed to help families enjoy nature.

The Mother-Daughter Retreat, set for Feb.5-6, is a great opportunity for mothers and daughters to strengthen their relationship through teambuilding and bonding exercises in a relaxing natural environment.

Camp Y-Koda will host a Winter Sleepover for Valentine’s Day weekend on Feb. 12-13.

The whole family is invited to explore the winter wonderland at Camp Y-Koda’s Family Snowshoe Hikes on Feb. 20, 21, 27 and 28.

The Mother Daughter Retreat is designed to bring girls age 7-14 and their mothers together for a special and memorable experi- ence.

Camp Y-Koda will lead participants though exercises that build trust and develop skills to help them relate to one another and cope with life’s challenges in a healthy way.

This retreat allows participants to avoid distraction and focus exclusively on one another.

It will also include fun indoor and outdoor activities like a Zumba session, a snowshoe hike, craft making and relaxation time, featuring massages from Intun ChiroCare.

The Winter Sleepover begins with a pizza party and an evening snowshoe hike followed by a warm fire, gooey s’mores and a movie night.

Kids will wake up to a day of winter fun spent outside sledding, snowshoeing, building snow forts and playing winter games.

The sleepover includes all meals, snacks and beverages and is a great way to make new friends and enjoy the outdoors.

Camp Y-Koda will provide the snowshoes and instruction for the Winter Snowshoe Hike, along with a warm cup warm cup of hot chocolate or apple cider to enjoy around the campfire after the hike.

Pre-registration is required for all programs.

To register, visit the Sheboygan or Sheboygan Falls YMCA.
