Doris M. Fuerst, 74, of Plymouth, WI passed away early Thursday morning (Jan. 14, 2016) at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Sheboygan Falls where she had been a resident for the past six weeks.

Doris was born on September 3, 1941 in Plymouth, WI daughter of the late Norbert and Florence (Rathke) Behrendt.

She attended St. John Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1959.

In 1963, she married Arnold “Arnie”Will in Plymouth, WI. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1968.

On July 31, 1970, she married Dennis G. Fuerst at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage. Dennis preceded her in death on January 26, 2014.

She was employed at Borden Foods in Plymouth and worked at Sargento Foods in Plymouth for 25 years retiring in 2004.

Doris was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth and enjoyed volunteering for the Church’s annual rummage sale.

Doris and Dennis were members of the Greenbush Snowmobile Club for many years.

Doris enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, and watching her kids and grandkids sporting events throughout the years. She was a wonderful, loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her four loving children: Corey Will (Julie Flood Blanke) of Jackson, WI, Cindy (Andy) Meckl of Oconomowoc, WI, Bryant (Sherri) Fuerst of Plymouth and Marty Will of Plymouth; five grandchildren: Zachary and Mackenzie Will, Renate and Easton Meckl and Bryce Fuerst; two sisters: Elizabeth (Ken) Beuesing of Sheboygan and Jane (Paul) Mertens of Cleveland, WI; ten brothers and sisters- in- laws: Joann (Gene) Poelstra of Armour, SD, Larry (Toni) Fuerst of Plymouth, Bev Unis (late husband: Mac Warnell) of Belle Vista, AR, Bonnie (Mike) Rademacher of Roswell, GA, Sheryl (Tim) Hughes of Plymouth, David Hassinger (late wife: Sharon) of Elkhart Lake, Shirley Hartwick, Ivan Will, Tess Erickson and Elmer “Junior”Will.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband: Arnie; husband: Dennis; her first husband’s father and mother: Elmer and Colletta Will; and brother-in-law: Reinhold Will.

Funeral services will be held on Monday evening (Jan. 18) at 6:00 P.M. at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. Rev. James Hoppert, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 3:00 P.M. on Monday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Doris’s name.
