Mattie Corabelle Rosenthal, 99, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Monday (January 25, 2016) at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born June 9, 1916, in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, WI, a daughter of the late Martin and Nellie (Sanders) Leynse.

Corabelle attended Welcome School in the Town of Lyndon and attended Sheboygan County Vocational School. On June 10, 1942 she married Edward William Rosenthal.

In her early years she worked at Bemis Manufacturing Company. During most of her married years she was a housewife. Later she was a guide at the Wade House in Greenbush and made dresses the guides wore.

Her husband preceded her in death on April 17, 1978.

Corabelle was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society in the Church.

Corabelle enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and quilting, cross-stitching, ceramics and reading.

She is survived by her three sons: Robert Rosenthal of New Berlin, WI, Eugene (Nancy) Rosenthal of Howards Grove, Mark (Wendy) Rosenthal of Plymouth, WI; one daughter-in-law: Jan Rosenthal of Glenbeulah, WI; four grandchildren: Derek (Bethany) Rosenthal of Plymouth, WI, Justin (Sara) Rosenthal of Plymouth, WI, Adam Rosenthal of Cascade, WI; Korin Rosenthal and Edward Gahagan of Glenbeulah; four great grandchildren: Isabella and Aubree Gahagan and Cody and Cora Rosenthal.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Corabelle was preceded in death by one son: Paul Rosenthal; three brothers: Cornelius, Edward and Harry Leynse and their wives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. at Suchon Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Johnson, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah will officiate. Burial will be in Greenbush Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 29 from 11a.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name at Zion Lutheran Church.
