Poultry Party a success for Johnsonville Rod and Gun Club

This is the biggest fundraiser for the club and all the members and extended families are thankful for the support shown to them by the community because the monies earned help them to contribute to other conservation programs and clubs.

The Johnsonville Rod and Gun Club has contributed more than $7,200 over the past 12 months to support the following programs:

Pheasants Forever

Local pheasant raising program

Trees for Tomorrow – two students

Sheboygan County Conservation Association (SCCA) Outdoor Activity Day and Free Fishing Day

Annual natural resources scholarships (two)

Donated a firearm to the Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Day

Junior Coho Derby

Participated in the Sponsor-a- Classroom through Camp Y-Koda

Supported two day camp for sixth graders at Camp Anokijig

Contributed to Wounded Warrior and Share the Spirit programs

“Turning Leaf” Youth Musky Weekend

They are contributing members to the following clubs: Sheboygan County Conservation Association, Maywood Environmental Park, National Rifle Association and Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.

The club also presented two $750 scholarships to Jack Kline, who is attending the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point for forest management, and Cody Kamrowski, who is studying natural resources, social and policy sciences.

The interest and involvement of these members are contagious. They welcome others to come and join or at least visit them for a meeting and learn what they do and why they do all that has been listed.To learn more give any of the officers a call and they will be more than happy to help with your questions.

The Johnsonville Rod and Gun Club meets the first Wednesday of the month at Laack’s Hall, Johnsonville.
