David L. Bartz, 75, of Greenbush, WI passed away early Tuesday evening, February 2, 2016, at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Chilton.

He was born in Sheboygan on May 3, 1940, son of the late Roland and Elva (Majewski) Bartz.

David attended State Road Grade School in Greenbush and later graduated from Glenbeulah High School.

He farmed on the family homestead in the Town of Greenbush, known as “Bartz’s Happy Acres”.David gave his heart and soul to developing the family farm for over 40 years. Most recently, he drove truck for Schwind Trucking in Greenbush.

He loved to snowmobile, and go to tractor pulls and car shows. David was very passionate about racing.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters: Sandra Wirtz of Glenbeulah, Tom (JoAnne) Bartz of Plymouth, Carol Bartz of Douglas, GA, Darlene (Pat) Burns of St. Cloud, Mike (Chris) Bartz of Elkhart Lake, Peter (Lisa) Bartz of Glenbeulah.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother: James Bartz; and brother-inlaw: Robert Wirtz.

Following David’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services.

Private family inurnment will take place in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Plymouth.

A memorial fund is being established in David’s name.
