Team building exercise prepares meals

One department from Sargento found a great way to give back while team building. After a brief meeting and breakfast prepared by Meals On Wheels, Sargento employees spent the morning volunteering at the organization.

They prepared meatballs, cookies, and sliced pies. A smaller break out team processed beets and carrots, while another group helped with preparations for the upcoming Love Bowls fundraiser. A handful of ladies created beautiful Valentine’s Day cards for clients.

Sargento also made a cheese donation, used in a special meal for clients. Sargento Cheddar Divan with chicken, pasta and broccoli was served to homebound neighbors along with a piece of fruit and salted caramel bars for dessert.

Meals On Wheels is seeking other companies interested in team building while volunteering and sponsors to serve upgraded meals to the elderly, disabled and homebound in Sheboygan County; contact noelle.boeldt@freshmealsonhwheels.org for more information.
