SERAPHINE F. SCHWARTZ

Seraphine F. Schwartz, 81, of Brown Deer, WI (formerly of Plymouth) passed away Sunday evening (Feb. 21, 2016) at Lawlis Hospice Center at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.

Sara was born on June 26, 1934 in Green Bay, WI, a daughter of the late Joseph and Madella (Walber) Perl.

She attended St Peter and Paul Catholic Grade Schools and graduated from Kiel High School in 1951.

On October 7, 1961, she married Eugene M. Schwartz at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. The couple resided in Kiel after their marriage, moving to Plymouth in 1964. Her husband preceded her in death on May 5, 2000.

Sara was employed at Muesbeck Shoe Company in Cedar Grove for 10 years and Specialty Packaging Company (Clevepak) in Plymouth for over 10 years retiring in 1986, where she served as the union steward at the company. She also taught catechism for several years.

She loved playing bingo, card games of all kinds, miniature bowling, doing arts and crafts; puzzle boards and watching her soap Opera “Days of Our Lives”.

Survivors include three sons: Eugene J. (Kathleen) Schwartz of Glenbeulah, Richard Schwartz of Adell, James Schwartz of Brown Deer; one daughter: Mary Jo Schwartz (Special Friend: Michael) of Brown Deer; two grandchildren: Becky Schwartz of Glenbeulah, Jenny Schwartz (Fiance: Jon Gideon) of Glenbeulah; one brother-in-law: Dennis (Donnette) Schwartz of Sheboygan; one sister: Betty Schwartz of Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law: Audrey Olig of Plymouth.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter: Tammy Schwartz; two brothers-in-law: Herbert Schwartz Jr. and Al Olig.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday evening (February 27, 2016) at 6 p.m. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Sara’s name.
