DONNA RAE MENTINK

Donna Rae (Nee Nass) Mentink, age 79, of Plymouth, died peacefully at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan, on Friday, March 4, 2016 after a brief illness.

Donna Rae was born on January 19, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter to the late Frank and Lorraine (Seeger) Nass. She graduated from Milwaukee Custer High School in 1955. On August 3, 1957 she married Jerry L. Kalkofen in Milwaukee. She worked at Neuen’s Lumber Company in Fredonia for many years, as well as Times Printing, Moebius Printing Company and Hall Saddlery.

On December 23, 1995 she married the love of her life, Wayne O. Mentink Sr. They lived in Neshkoro and built a log home in Wild Rose, WI. They enjoyed their time spent together and with their pets over the years. Wayne preceded her in death on November 18, 2013.

Donna Rae was a very proud and loving Mom to Terri Rae (Scott) Harcourt of Brillion, Janel Sue (Patrick) Teeters of Elkhart Lake, and Kevin Scott (Jackie) Kalkofen of Hingham. She was a very proud grammy to Nic (Sherry) Harcourt of Webster Grove, MO, Joshua (Torrie) Kalkofen of Appleton, Andrew (Lacey) Harcourt of Wrightstown, Jordan Kalkofen of Chicago, IL, Jacob Teeters of Plymouth and Brittney Lorraine Teeters (Fiancé: Kevin Bengsch) of De Pere. She was also a loving great-gram to Alexis Harcourt of Webster Grove, MO, Cadence Rae and Isaiah Harcourt of Wrightstown. She is further survived by one brother, Dale Nass of Random Lake, and former sister-in-law, Lynn Nass of New Berlin. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Donna moved to the Plymouth Atrium Senior Living Center in November of 2014 to be closer to her children. She will be missed by all of her friends that she enjoyed playing cards with. Donna was a proud shareholder of the Green Bay Packers and an avid fan of the Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers Football teams.

Following Donna Rae’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a time of sharing of memories and stories will be held on Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2016, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 1:30 – 3:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Donna’s name.
