Bucks moves

Twenty-nine local dancers – ranging in age from seven to 17 – from the Elite Competition Team at In Motion Studio in Plymouth performed an exuberant 1950s-inspired number on center court at the Milwaukee Bucks game Feb. 29 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. In Motion Studio owner Amanda Kanzelberger created the choreography and donated costumes, studio time and other resources so the dancers could have this unique opportunity. Zavinta Makejenko coached the team and parent volunteers assisted with event coordination. Now in its second year, the team has doubled in size, earned top scores at national and regional shows and is busy preparing for spring competitions in Madison and Milwaukee. The public is invited to a special Elite Team community performance at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Plymouth High School. Dancers performing at the Bucks game included Addison Arnold, Alaina Arnold, Sophie Bast, Kaitlyn Boettner, Savanna Elsbury, Paige Halbach, Calyssa Hall, Hayden Hoffman, Hunter Hoffman, Ella Hogue, Emma Hollister, Olivia Honeck, Madison Jenkins, Kaylee Koenig, Tessa Kuplic, Kaitlyn Kurtz, Claudia Leibham, Emily Machovec, Cora Meyer, Taylor Miller, Lauren Niewolny, Olivia Ramos, Sydney Rautmann, Sophia Suchocki, Kennedy Theobald, Elaina Thiel, Madison Ullman, Makayla Ullman and Rilee Willett.
