Virginia E. “Ginny” Klemme, 73, of Plymouth, passed away late Saturday evening March 26, 2016 at the Atrium in Plymouth where she had been a resident the past 3 months.

She was born on June 24, 1942 in Milan, WI, a daughter of the late John and Ella (Behr) Erickson.

She attended Little Elkhart Lake grade school and Glenbeulah High School.

On May 7, 1960 she married Franklin “Frank” Klemme at Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah. The couple has resided in the Sheboygan county area since the marriage.

Ginny was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake. She enjoyed summer activities such as swimming, camping with the family, gardening (especially her African violets and Christmas cactus) and was a huge fan of the New York Yankees. She loved her dogs and cats and had a passion for animals.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years: Frank of Plymouth;

7 children: Brian Klemme of Plymouth, Lori Klemme of Marathon, WI, Jacquelyn (Lee) Aderman of Glenbeulah, Lynette Klemme of Sheboygan Falls, Rosanne (Clint) Lade of Plymouth, Kristin (Glen) Hanson of North Fond du Lac, Michael (Kelley) Klemme of Sheboygan Falls; 9 grandchildren: Jennifer Klemme of Hartland, Richard (Carrie) Frick of Plymouth, Paul Frick of Kenosha, Eve Lade of Plymouth, Myles Lade of Plymouth, Gwen Lade of Plymouth, Rhiannon Lade of Plymouth, Marissa Aderman of Glenbeulah, Ethan Klemme of Sheboygan Falls; 2 great grandchildren: Christopher and Carlee Frick; 1 brother: Victor (Dianne) Erickson of Little Elkhart Lake; 2 brothers-in-law: Harold Klemme of Sheboygan Falls, Robert Eadelis of Little Elkhart Lake; 3 sisters-in-law: Gloria Kleinhans of Plymouth, Luella Gau of Sheboygan Falls, Mildred Erickson of Greenbush.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson: Augustus Durdin; 2 brothers: Gerald “Butch” Erickson and Lester Erickson; three sisters: Jeanette Erickson, Elizabeth Eadelis and Shirley Klemme.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon (March 31, 2016) at 1:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Elkhart Lake. Rev. Peter Peitsch, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday morning (March 31) at the CHURCH from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Virginia’s name.
