RENEE R. OBERREICH

Renee R. Oberreich, avid reader and author, Plymouth,WI.passed away early Monday morning at the age of 88 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center.

Renee was born on September 4, 1927 to the late Otto and Mary (Knowles) Zemke of the town of Greenbush. She attended Barrett Country School and graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1945. Renee attended Sheboygan County Normal and taught for several years at Hulls Crossing School in the town of Greenbush. She went on to work at Bordens in Plymouth.

On May 26, 1956 she was united in marriage to Roy Charles Oberrich, who preceded her in death on October 4th, 1977. They resided in the Town of Greenbush and later in the Town of Plymouth. Renee then went to work at the Gilson Plant and Rockline in Plymouth before retiring after 18 years of service at Rocky Knoll Healthcare Facility.

Renee enjoyed playing the piano and traveling. A true passion for her was reading and writing. With a labor of love she wrote and published two books, ‚“The Master’s Touch”, a novel of family life and “Fruits of the Spirit”, a collection of her poems. She was a strong advocate for the restoration of the Old Wade House and the Old Brick Church.

Renee was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Plymouth.

Renee is survived by her four children: Elizabeth Mary Oberreich and her significant other, Dave Sagal, Deborah Ann Oberreich, Sharon Jane (Neal) Burkart and David Roy (Kelly Ann) Oberreich, all of Plymouth; ten grandchildren: Jennifer (Dennis) Erdly of Plymouth, Susan (Matthew) Williams of Plymouth, Chelsie Oberreich of Oshkosh, Adam McCabe of Plymouth, Dustan (Katie) Oberreich of Plymouth, Shannon McCabe of River Falls, Brittney (Bryan) Mauk of Plymouth, Deliah Oberreich of Fond du Lac, Ashley Oberreich of Plymouth and Holly Oberreich of Plymouth; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Renee was preceded in death by a brother: Carroll Zemke; and a half-brother: Joseph Zemke.

A funeral service for Renee Oberreich will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services, 123 South St., Plymouth with Rev. Nathan Meador officiating. Cremation will take place with burial to be in the Greenbush Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m.
