‘B-E-E’ at dinner theater

Pankratz Arts Exchange takes on Rachel Sheinkin's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, four shows only- Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., April 23, 24, 30 and May1 at Maximillian’s Special Events Hall of Mount Calvary to kick off their 2016 show season.

This musical takes place, just as the title implies, at Putnam County's 25th Spelling Bee, and follows six contestants as they endure the pressures of competition and adolescence. Watch as these kids spell their way through the show, moderated by adults that have barely escaped childhood themselves. Characters played by Spelling Bee will bring you back to your youth, reminding you that winning isn't everything, and losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. This show can only be described one way: “A-W-E-S-O-M-E”.
