Hospital sponsors Medical Take-Back drive Apr. 30
Area residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of unneeded medications and/or donate home medical equipment and supplies during an event at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital on Saturday, April 30.
The Medication Take-Back and Medical Equipment Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items will be collected near the Emergency Department entrance of HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital, 3100 Superior Ave. in Sheboygan.
Medication Take-Back
• Prescription and over-the-counter medications accepted
• Cross out identifying information on the containers
• Liquid medications should be kept in the original bottle, then placed in plastic bags
• Syringes will not be accepted.
• Non-medical inhalers, medications from organizations and businesses, as well as items that contain mercury will not be accepted.
Medical Equipment Drive Donations
• Crutches and slings
• Wheelchairs
• Eyeglasses
• Walkers
• Dressing, gauze and tape
• Canes and other types of home medical equipment and supplies
• Hygiene kit supplies, including hand towels, washcloths, bar soap, combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste
• All items must be clean and in good condition
All donations made to the Medical Equipment Drive help support the Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach Program.
The Medication Take-Back and Medical Equipment Drive are organized through HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in conjunction with Healthy Sheboygan County 2020.
