Eleanore N. Herzog, 90, of Sheboygan Falls, WI passed away late Thursday evening, April 21, 2016 at Pine Haven Christian Campus in Sheboygan Falls.

She was born on May 17, 1925 in the Town of Plymouth, WI, daughter of the late Alfred and Eva (Lange) Baumann.

Eleanore attended Bonaview Grade School in Town of Sheboygan Falls and Plymouth High School.

On September 16, 1944, she married Reinhold L. Herzog at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The couple resided after their marriage at the family Homestead in the Town of Sheboygan Falls until 1974 when they built their new home on the second farm in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.

She helped her husband operate the dairy farm in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Eleanore also worked at Richardson Brothers in Sheboygan Falls for 10 years, retiring in 1984.

Reinhold preceded her in death on May 27, 2006.

She was a member of Saron United Church of Christ and belonged to the Women’s Guild of the church and a member for 52 years in the church choir. She was also a member of the Friendly Homemaker’s in Sheboygan Falls.

Eleanore enjoyed reading, walking, planting flowers and traveled extensively across the United States along with the People to People Program in Germany.

Survivors include her three sons: Allen (Jean) Herzog, Roy (Christine) Herzog, Richard (Sandy) Herzog all of Town of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren: Dawn (Daniel) Otte of Sheboygan Falls, Ryan (Kathy) Herzog of Plymouth, Jennifer Beltran of Sheboygan Falls, Julie (Mathew) Dulmes of Sheboygan Falls, Jeremy (Lori) Herzog of Oshkosh, Gregory (Jessica) Herzog of Plymouth and Clifford (Amanda) Herzog of Menasha; one granddaughter-inlaw: Jennifer Klein of Town of Sheboygan Falls; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister: Marion (Edmund) Schultz of Elkhart Lake; three brothers: Earl Baumann of Sheboygan Falls, Kenneth (Dorothy) Baumann of Plymouth, Robert (Barbara) Baumann of Sheboygan; three sisters-in-law: Betty Herzog of Myrtle Beach, S.C, Lauretta Baumann of Antigo, WI, Audrey Baumann of Appleton.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandson: Eric Herzog; one sister: Ruth (Wally) Stroshane; three brothers: Milton Baumann, Victor Baumann and Alfred Baumann Jr.; three sisters-in-law: Barbara, Marion, and Verona Baumann and two brothers-in-law: Alvin Herzog and Arno (Leslie) Herzog.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016 at Saron United Church of Christ in the Town of Sheboygan Falls. Rev. Ernest Huntzinger, Pastor of the church will officiate. Cremation will follow the services and inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Eleanore’s name.
