Panthers’ Knaus co-medalist in ECC event

WAUPUN – Sophomore Cade Knaus shared medalist honors to lead the Plymouth Panthers to third place in the East Central Conference boys golf mini-meet April 25 at the Rock River Country Club.

Knaus and Kewaskum’s Sean Murray carded 41s on the par-36 course. Waupun won the minimeet with a nine-hole total of 173, followed by Kewaskum with 175 and PHS, 178.

The Panthers’ other low players were Jake Willeford with a 43, Cole Bogenschuetz, 46 and Josh Klister with a 48.

Through four ECC mini-meets this season, Kewaskum leads the league standings with seven points, followed by PHS with 11 and Waupun, 11.5. One point is awarded for a first-place finish in a mini-meet, two for finishing second and so on.

PHS placed third in the junior varsity mini-meet with a score of 189. Waupun took first with 184, followed by Kewaskum at 186.

PHS sophomore Johno Aschenbach tied for first with a 44 along with Kewaskum’s Brad Buechel and Waupun’s Andy Mavis.
