Safe Powerboat Handling Class offered by Sheboygan SEAS

Sailing Education Association of Sheboygan (SEAS) is hosting a Safe Powerboat Handling Class in partnership with Sail Sheboygan and US Powerboating.

This class provides training on proper skills and knowledge needed to on the water safely.

The class will be held on May 17 and 19, from 4-8 p.m and May 21, from 5-9 p.m. with limited space.

Safe Powerboat Handling is for those new to boating to meet NASBLA approval.

The class prepares the student with a combination of classroom time and on the water experience to safely operate a powerboat and understand state and federal regulations.

The class will also prepare students 14 years or older for the online Wisconsin DNR Boater License, which is required for powerboat operators born January 1, 1989 or after .

SEAS is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that strives to educate the public about the benefits of sailing and boating, preservation of the maritime heritage and serves as a resource to help support the organizations, clubs and individuals that fit the parameters of the group's mission.
