The Sheboygan County ADRC offers a single entry point for unbiased and accurate information and assistance on issues affecting older people and adults with disabilities regardless of income and assets. Services may be provided by telephone, email, at the ADRC, or in your own home. We also have available interpreter and assistive technology resources.

The ADRC provides information and assistance, connection to services, resources in areas such as disability and long-term care, living arrangements, health/wellness, adult protective services, employment/training for disabled adults, home maintenance, nutrition, publicly funded programs including long-term care funding, Alzheimer’s care, assisted living, nursing homes, benefits counseling, transportation, prevention, early intervention, and youth transition for adolescents with disabilities.

Elder or Disability Benefit Specialists can help sort through the maze of financial benefits, varying eligibility requirements, application processes and can also help when people have problems with Medicare, Social Security, and other benefits.

Caregiver support services/workshops provide help for family caregivers to fulfill their vital role. The ADRC, in partnership with community resources, offers prevention and intervention programs to keep you healthy, independent and to reduce the risk of disability.

The goal of the ADRC is to give individuals the support and understanding they need in order to remain as independent as possible as they face health issues, the effects of aging or a disabling condition.
