The Binversie brothers, who won a fifth-place medal at D-2 state last year, lost to Brookfield Academy’s Michael Rajchel and Jason Tan, 3-6, 3-6, in a match which decided a spot in the fifth- place. The Panther team defeated Rajchel and Tan in last year’s fifthplace match at state.

The top-six finishers in doubles and singles earned medals.

Also competing at state for the PHS Panthers was senior Matt Primozic who finished 1-1 in singles and didn’t medal. Primozic, who was making a school-record fourth straight state appearance, finished the season 20-6.

In the third round Friday, Gabe and Gavin lost 1-6, 1-6 to the eventual champions from Green Bay Notre Dame in Charlie Parish and Isaac Hingtgen. The loss dropped the Binversies into the consolation bracket and the match versus Rajchel and Tan.

Primozic won his first-round match Thursday over Ben Fowler of La Crosse Logan, 6-2, 6-2.

The PHS senior bowed out of the tournament with a secondround loss, 0-6, 1-6, to Jack Collison of University School of Milwaukee on Friday. Collison eventually placed fourth.
