Meeting Minutes

The Auxiliary of the Haslee-Doebert-Schmidt American Legion Post #261 of Greenbush was called to order by Kathy Bardon on June 10 at 6 p.m. at the Greenbush Legion Hall.

A prayer was read by Chaplin Pat Gaffney. A moment of silence was observed for our deceased members.

Twelve senior members answered roll call.

Minutes of the May meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’s report was read and filed for audit. Books will be audited by Liz Quackenboss and Becky Dippel.

Gov. Scott Walker designated the month of June as Badger Girls State Month. Our delegates, Allie Wiesman and Paige Nelson, will attend June 19-24 at U.W. Oshkosh.

Our Poppy Can profits are $500. 100 percent will be donated. We want to thank everyone who helped distribute the cans.

New membership forms were passed out to those who thought they might have a prospective member.

State Convention is July 14-17 in Middleton.

Regional Fall Conference is in Grafton on Sept. 24. Check with Kathy Bardon if you want to attend either event.

Motion made by Lorraine Gaffney and seconded by Janet Biskobing to donate to the Camo Quilt Project.

Over 2,400 quilts have been made and donated to deployed military.

Liz Quackenboss reported on the Sunshine Fund.

June 16: Installation of Officers – Plymouth Post at 7 p.m.

June 19: Father’s Day

June 19-24: Badger Girls State Convention

June 25-26: Greenbush Fireman’s Parade and Picnic. Parade at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

July 4: Independence Day

July 14-17: State Convention – Middleton

Aug. 6: Luncheon at Roadside Bar & Grill – 1 p.m.

Sept. 8: Auxiliary Meeting, 6 p.m., Greenbush Legion Hall

Sept. 24: Regional Fall Conference – Grafton

We will continue to save pop-top tabs, aluminum cans, food for the Food Pantry, Sunshine Fund and coupons from the Sunday paper.

A delicious lunch was served by Pat and Lorraine Gaffney.

Kay Keyes won the door prize.

Motion was made by Kay Keyes and seconded by Kathy Kohlman to adjourn. Carried. Next meeting is Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
