A Sheboygan Falls Town Board meeting article, which appeared in the June 15 edition of the Sheboygan Falls News, indicated that Dan Albright and Carl Laack were convicted of a felony for serving underage patrons.

This statement is untrue.

Albright and Laack were denied operator’s licenses at the June 6 Town Board meeting due to receiving a misdemeanor citation for serving underage patrons.

The two men paid the fine and the misdemeanor is now exempt.

Albright and Laack will take the online Responsible Beverage Server Course and show proof of completion of the course before their operators licenses will be reinstated at the next Town Board meeting.

The misinterpretation of the facts happened due to the unclear wording of a question on the application for the operator’s license.

The Falls News apologizes for this misinterpretation.
