Virginia “Ginny” Tonn passed away on June 23, 2016.

She was born on July 25, 1931 in Campbellsport, WI to the late Frank and Lillian (Altman) Thiel. She graduated from Campbellsport High School.

She married Ronald Tonn of Campbellsport on October 25, 1952.

She worked for First State Bank of Campbellsport, with her father, David Douglas, Rockline and retired from SPS.

Ginny volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul (“the boutique”) in Plymouth, where she found many treasures for her family for Christmas. She counted money at St. John the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary (VFW) World Cheese Center Post #5612.

Ginny loved to read, do word puzzles and watch old TV shows.

Survivors include two daughters: Jacqueline Tonn of Milwaukee and Mary (Bill) Zuba of Greendale; five grandchildren: Erin Tonn of Waukesha, Jerad Tonn of Milwaukee, Joseph Sliwinski of Greendale and Zachery and Anthony Zuba of Greendale; one daughter in-law: Laurie Tonn of Waukesha (fiance Richard Davis); two brothers: Roger Thiel of Milwaukee, and Orville (Cecilia) Thiel of Columbus, Ohio. She is further survived by a sister: Marlene (Jay) Lence of Denton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ronald; an infant son: James; and son: Daryl.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday afternoon June 28, 2016 at 3 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Inurnment will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Tuesday, June 28 from 1 p.m. until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Project Angel Hugs in Virginia’s name.

Ginny was grateful for the inhome care and companionship of Judy Ryan and Fran Fabian. They would also like to thank Dr. Schroeder and the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the loving care given to Mom/Grandma.
