MARION L. KRAUSE

Marion L. Krause, 88, of Plymouth, WI (Formerly of Beechwood, WI) passed away early Thursday morning, June 23, 2016, at Anita’s Garden in Plymouth.

She was born on July 7, 1927 in the Town of Scott, WI, a daughter of the late John and Jessie (Goll) Strack.

Marion attended the Persian School in the Town of Mitchell.

On June 12, 1948, she married Elroy F. Krause at the parsonage at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Adell. Following their marriage, the couple resided in Adell for several years before moving to Beechwood. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1998.

She worked at the canning factory in Adell and for the Krier Canning Company in Belgium. She also worked as a nurse’s aid at the Beechwood Rest Home for 8-1/2 years and then at St. Joseph’s Convent in Campbellsport for 18 years, retiring in September 29, 1992.

Marion was a former member of St. John United Church of Christ in Beechwood where she served with the Ladies Aid. She was a current member at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia.

She was also a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post #462 in Adell and the Triangle B Post in Batavia. She was a life time member of Disabled Veterans Auxiliary Lt. Adrian Frankow Post #58 in West Bend. She held offices in all of these organizations.

Marion enjoyed gardening, sewing and the love of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two children: Kathleen (Richard) Payne of Plymouth, and Roger (Cindy) Krause of Crooked Lake; four grandchildren: Stephanie Hazen (friend: Andy) of Green Bay, Matthew

(Jamie) Payne of Milwaukee, Wyatt (Felisia) Payne of Sun Prairie, and Jennifer (Bryon) Brooks of Sheboygan; 11 great-grandchildren: Austin, Dustin, Colin, Braydin, Ethan, Nolan, Nevyn, Ayah, Sura, Zakariya, and Dylan; sister: Alvina Klein of Random Lake; and sister-inlaw: Lois Strack of Cascade.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters: Malinda (Wilbert) Habeck and Luzetta (Albert) Habeck; two brothers: John and David Strack; two brothers-in-law: Ben Klein and Harold Bonk.

A time of gathering and visitation was held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Suchon Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. There will be no formal service following the visitation. Private family burial will be held in the Beechwood Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marion’s name.
