All that’s jazz to fill downtown Plymouth Aug. 12

Plymouth Arts Center’s 13th Annual Cheese Capital Jazz & Blues Crawl for the Arts will be presented, Friday, August 12th from 4pm to 12:30am.

This jazz and blues extravaganza features live music by 11 bands at the Plymouth Arts Center in the courtyard and greatroom and at six downtown venues.

Something new this year: purchase our 2016 wristband for $10 in advance, or $13 night of the event, get a punchcard, visit all venues, and receive a chance to win our $500 Cash Grand Prize. Wristbands are available now at: the PAC; Antonio’s; The City Club; The Plymouth Eagles Club; 52 Stafford; PJ Campbell’s at the Depot; Wildshots Pub and at Allechant Boutique.

The event is generously sponsored by our local Cheese Companies: Great Lakes Cheese of Wisconsin, Masters Gallery Foods, Sargento Foods, and the Sartori Company, with in-kind support from M.A.S. Industries.

The festivities are kicked off at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 East Mill Street, in downtown Plymouth, WI at 4 p.m. Visit PAC’S Bourbon Street Café for delicious food cooked by Three Guys & a Grill until 9pm.

Attend the opening reception of a brand new art exhibit, “Critters” in Gallery 110 North sponsored by Van Horn Automotive of Plymouth.

Adding even more excitement to the event is: a 7 p.m. Live Auction of our signature painting, “Louie Armstrong, 1932” created and donated by Dan Gardiner of Madison, this original is valued at $2000; the painting raffle of “Living on the Edge” a watercolor created and donated by Artist Evie Grasse of Sheboygan, valued at $600.

Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20, drawing at 9pm; and a fantastic Silent Auction (to 8pm only), all taking place at the Plymouth Arts Center. This year, have fun by hoping on the Partridge Family Bus from 7:30 to 11pm.

Detroit born Dan Gardiner is a Madison artist who enjoys creating collages from images he finds in old magazines and illustrated books.

Evie Grasse of Sheboygan learned from a young age that she had the ability to create art in all media. She is primarily selftaught, however, twenty-five years ago she chose to Plein Air paint in watercolor with mentor James Michael, and she has never looked back. Visit Evie’s website: www.sheboyganvisualartists.com

The silent auction will once again feature original fine art, event tickets, overnight stays, dining certificates, and gift baskets and gift certificates. Bidding for the silent auction closes at 8pm. You need NOT be present to win.
