Panthers win West Allis Central Invitational

WEST ALLIS – The Plymouth Panthers finished first place in the West Allis Central Girls Volleyball Invitational Saturday.

PHS chalked up a 5-0 dual record and swept four of the meets. The Panthers defeated Waukesha North 25-14, 25-18; Eastbrook Academy (Milwaukee) 25-10, 25- 6; West Allis Central 25-8, 25-2; Milwaukee King 15-25, 25-18, 15-12; and Milwaukee Pius XI 25- 9, 25-19.

Plymouth’s statistical leaders versus North included: kills – Megan Goeser, eight and Emma Grapentine, six; ace serves – Jessica Schumacher, three; solo blocks – Goeser, three; digs – Emily Majerus, 12 and Sophie Albert, 11; and assists – Schumacher, 24.

Plymouth’s statistical leaders versus Eastbrook included: kills – Albert six; ace serves – Schumacher, five; solo blocks – Cecelia Huhn, one; digs – Majerus, nine; and assists – Schumacher, 18.

Plymouth’s statistical leaders against Central included: kills – Goeser, Huhn and Brooke Frederickson, five each; ace serves – Carly Triebensee, nine; solo blocks – Maggie Staehling, two; digs – Margeaux Suttner, eight and Triebensee, six; and assists – Staehling, 14.

Plymouth’s statistical leaders versus King included: kills – Huhn, nine, and Goeser and Albert, eight apiece; ace serves – Tribensee, two; digs – Majerus, 11 and Albert, eight; and assists – Schumacher, 27.

Plymouth’s statistical leaders against Pius XI included: kills – Goeser, seven; ace serves – Majerus and Schumacher, three each; solo blocks – Goeser and Albert, one each; digs – Majerus, 10 and Triebensee, seven; and assists – Schumacher, 21.
