Vet benefits workshop planned

Sheboygan County veterans, would you like to find out if you qualify for benefits from the VA? The 2nd District, Department of Wisconsin, American Legion, and the Sheboygan County Veterans Office will host a VA workshop Saturday, Oct. 8, 9-11a.m. at VFW Post 9156/American Legion Post 83, 552 S. Evans St., Sheboygan, to help veterans apply to find out if they are entitled to benefits from the V.A. Health Care System.

This enrollment is open to all veterans in Sheboygan County. To find out if you qualify, come to the workshop and fill out an application. If you are accepted you will be enrolled into the V.A. Health Care System.

If you’ve been refused in the past because of the income threshold, try again - especially if your income has decreased.

To help with enrollment Todd Richter, the assistant Sheboygan County veterans service officer, will be present to make sure the 1010EZ applications are filled out correctly. To complete the application bring your 2014 or 2015 1040 taxes, spouse’s Social Security number and your DD 214.

To preregister contact (questions can be directed to same): Greg Eirich, 2nd District Vice Commander, Department of Wisconsin, American Legion, 920-226-0951, email:
