Blood drive Monday at Generations

The end of summer blood drive is planned for Monday, Sept. 26, at the Generations intergenerational center, 1500 Douglas Dr., two blocks north of Plymouth High School, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

The BloodCenter of Wisconsin supplies are used locally in area hospitals and surgical centers. Currently, there are some critical supply shortages in several of the eight blood types.

The blood you give to the BloodCenter of Wisconsin is used locally to help your family and friends.

The drive is co-sponsored by the Plymouth Lions Club and the Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243. It is hosted by the Blood- Center of Wisconsin, a non-profit organization that supplies the blood for use in more than 50 Wisconsin hospitals, including Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Center, Froedtert Children’s Hospital and the Aurora Surgical Center right here in Plymouth.

The goal for the September drive is 50 donations. If you are busy you may make an appointment at or by calling 1-877-232-4376 and mention the Plymouth Blood Drive. The Blood- Center also stresses that walk-ins are very welcome.

It takes roughly an hour to go through the donation process. You need to be healthy, have a driver’s license or photo ID, and the ability to give some medical information.

Please be a hero and donate. Your donation could be the most valuable gift you ever give – just ask anyone who has ever received.

The next blood drive is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28
