Resorters fall short in five-game battle

The Resorters’ Mandy McLaughlin watches. – Photo by Mike McGill ELKHART LAKE – The Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters lost a tough, five-game girls volleyball match to visiting Stockbridge in nonconference action Tuesday night.

Stockbridge outlasted the Resorters 25-12, 22-25, 25-21, 13- 25, 15-10.

Sonia Schubert led the Resorters’ attack with six kills and Megan Flora had four. Mandy McLaughlin had a team-high four ace serves, followed by Schubert with two.

Schubert paced Elkhart in digs with 10. McLaughlin had a team-best eight assists.

Brianna Ecker led Stockbridge’s offense with seven kills. Alyssa Burns had a team-high seven aces and 11 assists.
