Storm hits hard

City crews were busy Wednesday morning cleaning up and repairing after a brief but intense thunderstorm hit Plymouth and the surrounding area at around 5 a.m. The storm downed trees and branches throughout the city, including one that fell on a parked car on Reed Street (above and top). The storm also caused a power outage for around 600 Plymouth Utilities customers on the city’s southwest side after a tree fell on a power line. The outage lasted about an hour and a half and all power was restored by 6:49 a.m. City crews were busy Wednesday morning cleaning up and repairing after a brief but intense thunderstorm hit Plymouth and the surrounding area at around 5 a.m. The storm downed trees and branches throughout the city, including one that fell on a parked car on Reed Street (above and top).
