Panthers hike EWC-leading mark to 8-0
RIPON – The Plymouth Panthers ran their first-place Eastern Wisconsin Conference girls dual tennis record to 8-0 with a 5-2 win over host Ripon Tuesday afternoon.
The key to the victory was a sweep in doubles play as PHS took all three matches in straight sets.
“Another huge win for the girls as they took care of their business,” said Panther head coach Scott Milslagle.
“They have really come so far this season and it is nice to see them pull everything together and succeed the way they are. These girls have earned their success and they deserve to be where they are and to be playing for our conference title.”
In junior varsity action, Plymouth’s winners included: singles – Sam Meyer, Katie Benedict, Katie Pocian and Emma Hellmer; and doubles – Hannah Stucke and Catherine Williamson, and Julia Zahn and Megan Thiel.
