Midstar hosts open house

Midstar Printing held an open house recently in conjunction with the ribbon-cutting marking the new ownership under June Cleveringa. Cleveringa noted that the previous staff have all been retained - Amy Klumb (above), Clinton Lade and Jeremy Moses - and Andy Mallard has been added to the staff. Terry Demler will be staying on for a while as a consultant as well as caring for some of his previous clients. Cleveringa has been involved in printing for about 15 years as an outside sales executive. She teaches at Lakeshore Technical College in the Marketing Core and spent four years as a marketing director for a local manufacturer as well as working as a private contracted marketing consulting for a few other local businesses. Midstar’s focus going forward, Cleveringa said, is to continue to offer the printing and customized services that Midstar Printing customers have enjoyed in the past. However, she added, Midstar will be enhancing those services with marketing services offered to help clients with anything from trade show planning to websites, publication schedules and complete branding. Midstar is not an agency, rather it is more like an extension of their staff, providing the client with assistance as needed, according to Cleveringa. This concept allows the client to save money on hiring a marketing staff member that they may have only a temporary need for.
