RICHARD N. DESSLOCH

Richard N. Dessloch, age 71, of Plymouth, passed away at home on Monday morning (September 26, 2016) with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Plymouth on October 1, 1944, son of the late Elton and Anelda (Klemme) Dessloch.

Dick graduated from Elkhart Lake High School, class of 1962.

He served in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 and during that time was in Vietnam for 8 months.

Dick worked at DFA (formerly Borden’s) for 42 years until his retirement in March 2009.

On October 11, 1969, he married Geraldine Krueger at St. George Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake. Following their marriage, the couple resided in Plymouth, Cascade, and then moved back to Plymouth.

Dick enjoyed playing sheepshead, fishing, bowling, and miniature bowling. He also enjoyed watching the Packers and Badgers, traveling with his wife to Florida and Texas, and going to Keshena and Oneida.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years: Geraldine; Two children: Susan Dessloch (Brian Kuehl) and Christopher Dessloch both of Plymouth; Three brothers-in-law: Ross Wright of FL, Roland (Marge) Wasmuth of Fond du Lac, and Russell Krueger of Plymouth; Seven sisters-in-law: Lorraine Stahl of Plymouth, Bernice Wallace of Plymouth, Marilyn (James) Carpenter of Plymouth, Irene Boeselager of Racine, LaVerne (Harry) Czarniecki of Plymouth, Barb (Lee) Pozun of Plymouth, and Linda Krueger of Plymouth; and Sister: Carol Fenner of Wolf Lake. Dick is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-inlaw: Daniel Sr. and Olive Krueger, Sisters: Laverne Wright, Lois Wasmuth; Brother: Charles Dessloch; Brothers-in-law: Daniel Krueger Jr., Vernon Wallace, LeRoy Stahl, Milton Krueger, Jack Boeselager, and Willard Fenner; and Sister-in-law: Sandy Krueger.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday (October 1, 2016) at 12:30 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. The Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post #5612 will conduct military rites following the service.

Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home on Saturday (Oct. 1) from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dick’s name.
