Fairest

To the Editor,

I know it is a month past the Sheboygan County Fair, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoy and appreciate your coverage of the Fair. It is so refreshing to see actual articles about happenings there and pictures of substance, not just the ferris wheel and the carnival. The 4-Hers are also well represented and will be featured again in your Winners Circle coming out soon.

Sheboygan County is well known for its high-quality dairy cattle and the front-page article with the Futurity results was great.

I appreciated that you printed the article on the Education- Household Building’s 100th anniversary. It is the first permanent building on the fairgrounds, so the first 100-year-old building. In 2021 the cattle barn will be 100 years old.

It was also special that the Meals with Marge column featured recipes from the Fair’s recipe book done in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Education-Household Building. We sold out of the recipe books during the Fair and took orders from then on. We await the second printing and will continue to sell until they are gone.

Your newspaper is such an asset to our community. It keeps us informed of all happenings in the area, happy or sad occasions what goes on with local governments, businesses, stories of interest, schools, local sports, legal notices, ads, support of local non-profits and much more.

It is so easy to take the paper for granted as it comes twice a week, year after year, and we forget how fortunate we are! Keep up the good work!
