Alzheimer’s conference planned

The Alzheimer’s Association, in conjunction with the Dementia Care Network of Sheboygan County, will present “Heroes Among Us,” an educational conference for family and professional caregivers, on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Acuity Insurance, 2800 S. Taylor Dr., Sheboygan.

The conference will feature several keynote addresses, including “Is It Aging or Alzheimer’s: The Importance of Early Detection,” by Dr. Tracy Sherman, Prevea East, DePere; and “Recipe for Caregiving,” presented by Lynda Markut, family services coordinator, Alzheimer’s Association.

Workshops on various topics will be offered. Exhibitors and sponsors will be available to explain local services and resources.
